Brianna Book's

This book starts out with the builders leaving a box with all the mayors so when the time is right the correct mayor will get the important information to save the city, but that changed when one took the box and died before putting it back. Lina, the main character and Doon are now old enough to get a job but with the frequent light shortage they know something is up. Lina soon finds a letter stating information on a place where they will be free and live a different type of life from the box the builders left. Finally Lina, Doon, and Lina's little sister set off into their adventure to the beautiful new world.

I think this book has a lot of different ways to connect. I can connect to this book because like Lina I love to see different places and I would've traded my job for messenger if I got pipe works. This books relates to The Giver because it is a world that they do not control and wish that somethings were different. It doesn't relate to the world because nothing is the same except for the stores and apartments and library.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about society. I would also recommend it to someone who is more mature.
